This blog started out as a mobile phone cam photo-a-day project. I took pictures on the street during my commute, so I named the blog jeepneypics. The pictures were a reaction against this idea that you need expensive equipment and exotic subjects to make good images. I wanted to prove that you don’t need either.

A few months of posting and I felt I did everything I could with that phone-cam; I had to buy a “real” camera. So I did, took time off to learn how to use it, and now I’m back, though posting less often.

I still post the occasional photo from the street, ’cause sometimes you just have to stop and look.

These days, though, I’m more into wedding photos, but probably not the kind you’re used to. This time I’m reacting against shot lists, stage direction, flashguns, and photoshop effects.
